I recently advertised on my Facebook page as well as Kijiji for boudoir sessions just in time for Valentines Day. I posted all the necessary information, like where the session would be held, the fee, what was included as well as what to expect. But what I didnt expect was to be contacted by a CBC Radio reporter who wanted to know more about the sessions.
But not for her own personal reasons. She was interested in doing a radio interview during one of my boudoir sessions and airing it on CBC Radio One! How amazing is that? Little 'ole me, who never feels quite satisfied with her work, would be interviewed by CBC Radio!
I said yes without even hesitating, but quickly started to worry about what would be asked and what I would say. After much planning, and finding a client who agreed to have the reporter present during her session, things were underway!
The reporter, Ariana, arrived about fifteen minutes before the client, whom we'll call Sarah for now, and proceeded to ask me questions. Now, first I have to tell you how insanely shy and nervous I am when it comes to public speaking. I was shaking so hard I'm sure you could hear it in my voice. But Ariana made it very easy on me and didnt ask anything I couldnt answer. Shortly after, "Sarah" arrived and we got started. At that point Ariana was just gathering 'soundscape' for the radio piece; sounds of the shutter on my camera, the music playing in the background, and myself directing "Sarah" as she posed for my camera. Once Ariana had enough soundscape for the interview, she left and I finished the session with "Sarah".
I must say, it wasnt as nerve-wrecking as I thought it would be, and I'm quite happy I agreed to do the interview. I'm also quite pleased with how the photos turned out! But not only that, the reporter also did a web-piece about the boudoir sessions! AH-MAZING! See the article here
Here are a few images from the boudoir sessions that took place at Leaside Manor on January 25th, 2014.

What is a boudoir photoshoot?
A boudoir session is meant to be a sultry, beautiful photoshoot to capture sexy photos of you for your loved one. They can be any level of sexiness - depending on your comfort level! I will make sure that you feel very comfortable during the session and although I will give you direction on posing, it is meant to show your more personal side as a keepsake for your special someone! What should I wear?
You can wear anything that makes you comfortable, though many bring a few different outfits. Just keep in mind it is an hour long so you may not get to use all the outfits if you bring alot! This can be anything from your hunny's favorite button-up shirt, to sexy lingerie. Whatever works for you!!
But I'm camera shy and afraid I wont know what to do!
